The Island Sound Days are a music festival of the 20th district in Vienna. It was created by Franziska Hatz, novel Britschgie, Friedl Preisl and Richie Winkler.

The Island Sound Days are a music festival of the 20th district in Vienna. It was created by Franziska Hatz, novel Britschgie, Friedl Preisl and Richie Winkler.

The festival started in 2016 with concerts during 2 days in Vindobona and a concert in the Brigitta church, where Dr.Wolfgang Reisinger with the very well-known and renowned church organ was in the center of the action. The Wolfgang Reisinger Ensemble was founded as a team, where musicians from the 20th district performed. This Ensemble has been named to - insel.klang.ensembe!

Wolfgang Reisinger, Roman Britschgi, Phil Jaeger and Richie Winkler were commissioned to write compositions for the ensemble, which were not only created to be performed in the sacred space, but also to remain as a church-historical reference.

Thus, mainly historical texts were approached, experimented with and explored in various musical settings.
