K`an

The compositional cycle K`an (the meaning of the calligraphy on the front of the CD cover), which was created due to the tender of the innovation award on water in the period from late November 98 to mid-January 99, is divided into four parts.

Sea, source, well, river

The basis and conceptual assumption in the development process were the examination of the topic of water from the perspective of Chinese cosmology (K`an as a trigram = symbol of water in the I-Ging - see cover), as well as the number mythology in the tradition of Pythagoras (the magic number square , which always gives the number 6 in the checksum, also stands for the element water

- see cover), to the contemplative approach in the sense of Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha - (Siddhartha on the river).

At the beginning of the cycle is the sea (the unit) into which finally the water returns as a river.

The sea is also a symbol of the great union in the cosmic

                 Awareness.

The source is on the one hand the boy, the inspiration, the emergence of

                 Life,

the birth, on the other hand it is the individualization, the beginning

a journey with the urge to return to the great unity.

The path leads over the "captivity" in the well.

The fountain is an expression of human civilization, the mastery of nature.

Finally, the water returns as a river back to the sea.

The path of water as a symbol of the path of man.

The water as a symbol of life and at the same time as a threat to the same

(in the I-Ging: the abysmal).
